I think I still have the pan on the shelf in my garage to remind me of my stupidity
5,000 rpm burnouts in 2nd gear are a NO ! NO !
Everything else came out of the pan when I removed it. The rod was in the left front tire and the cam came out 1 lobe at a time.The piston was still in the cylinder. Every thing else was swept up and put in the trash.

Harley burnout, rear tire 85mph in second gear. Front tire..... in the tavern against the bar... 0 mph. Midnight, 4th of July, 3 in a row, cleared the bar. I know the guy.....

Pop those heads off and I'll take them down to JD Machine early next week along with some other stuff. Am currently in Hot Springs visiting the in laws for the week

BA409 is getting a fresh engine! Truck block,slight bore, stock stroke, KB Icon pistons on BBC rods. Same 690 heads (thanks Paul!) and whatever James wants to use that's laying around for an intake. Wilson headers. Should be a solid foundation but not the stump puller James wants to build next

This engine wont need to be on a stand for awhile.
Dropping it off at the machine shop tomorrow.
We have lots of spare engine stands .

Dan, we are saving those 583s you ported for the next generation build.
These 690s we believe were in the capable hands of Tony Shaffer of Day Automotive some time ago, as they are wildly ported.
