Does anyone make water pump rebuild kits for the 348-409s? Can a short nose, small block pump kit work in its place? I want to rebuild one of the many I have instead of buying a new one.
Thanks!
There is another thread about this.
Google local centrifugal pump supply places. They should have new mechanical seals and probably source impeller if needed.
I have had excellent work from both http://vintageautopumps.parkerspackards.com/contact.html and https://www.then-now-auto.com/ for both water pumps and fuel pump rebuilding turn around usually just a couple days and you get YOUR part back. Not sure if they will sell you just the parts but try giving either a call. The cost was so reasonable it was almost silly to do it myself.
I picked up a Edelbrock 409 with a motor I bought awhile back, the pump only ran about 20 minutes and motor had issue and was torn back down. The pump sat since 2010 and when I tried to first turn impeller it wouldnt turn then finally did, I would like to rebuild this as these are expensive pumps. Would a stock rebuild kit for small block work on it or did edelbrock make their stuff oddball? Anyone rebuilt one? Thanks Harley!
