Ray, I hope you are not dissatisfied with our country enough to think of moving. If so, and you are just thinking about it,,, please, do NOT go to www.grants.gov .. And if you do, please do NOT click on "Find grant oppurtunities" and then do NOT click on " Browse by Agency". And please dont click on things like " Dept of Health& Human Services" or" Dept of Agriculture" or Dept ofState" or" Dept of Interior" and certainly stay away from "Agency for Intl. Development". Please do NOT spend hours clicking on indivual programs and viewing " total program funding" and "eligible applicants". If the average American were to spend a few hours looking at that stuff, there would certainly be a revelution. My computer got so mad that it locked up several times and I had to re-boot and start all over. It does make some good entertainment if you can get by the anger experienced. So Ray, don't go to this web-site. Come on down here to Texas, at least we dont have a state income tax,,,,,,,,,,,,yet.

An update from Oklahoma :
Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol.. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...! HB 1330
Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.
Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. HB 1804. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.
Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.
Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional. SB 1102

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. Joining Texas , Montana and Utah as the only states to do so. More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Florida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again. HJR 1003
The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the criminals (and Obamaites). Liberals didn't like it -- But ...
Guess what............ Oklahoma did it anyway.
Just this month, my state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language. We have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of our road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma , you must read and write English. Really simple.
By the way, Obama does not like any of this.

My viewpoint of the State of Oklahoma might be a bit jaded, but it is based on a brief personal experience. Years ago I interviewed for a Dean's position at the University of Oklahoma (I declined the opportunity). I was struck by how much credence that was put on the Native American Indian. They were attempting to build a world class program, but their hiring practices (at the time) were skewed towards Native Americans. I thought the two directions were at odds with one another, so I passed on the opportunity.
On one hand, we (and by "we" I refer to WASPs like myself) might be considered "illegal aliens" to those who were native to the Americas. And add to that the evidence that many Universities are tilted towards the Liberal perspective. I would venture to say that given the previous posts, things in Oklahoma outside of major Universities are not so liberal... We should ask Tony and Bonnie, perhaps they have some insight.

By the way , how much are license plates in Texas? And you need to stay away from all that browsing, geez , your wife refused to tell you it was the IRS when I called for fear of giving you a heart attack. TomK, I'll feel it's an historic election when we elect a native American president. Dan, I think Oklahoma is arming themselves against a takeover by Texas after Mexico reclaims Texas. Robert, some day I'll figure out how to get into that scale I keep missing on 95. Walt, heading towards you, going to Montreal next week via Syracuse. Dave, I know where you live, I went to Calgary a couple times and checked to see how far you were from there. Will your town flood from "global warming"?

I'm out of town far enough & high enough I'll be OK....... who knows I may end up with beach front property.

Hey,talk of Maryland,I'm about ready to go to Delaware.Taxes are cheap,no state sales tax.Maryland's taxes are going thru the roof,the leadership this state has turned it all upside down.If our glorious Washington Mesiah gets his way,the whole darn country will be turning to socialism and we will be taxed to death.What I like to know is "CHANGE" IS IT WORKING FOR YOU ??????
