Hey,, Steve asked this question on the intro page and i thought it was a great question!!
Lets have some feed back then we can post a poll for a vote!!

Here goes what I have,, Hummm, then there`s that Phil thing,,, if I tell will he be on my door step by morning??:roll

Any ways,,
1- in the `62, 409-425
2-in the garage,, 2- 409-425 blocks, one prept and ready to build, one still full of stock grungy parts
3-set of 583 heads,, need rebuild
4- extra parts: dual manifold, oil pans, water pumps valve covers in various disrepair(wall art), and lots of small parts

I`m WAY down the list for "who has the most" stuff!! But ,, hey,, got more then a lot of other people!!:deal

O..and i won't tell where I have these parts hidden, just in case Phil reads this post!!

Should be two list (1) for parts on hand and (2) for those willing to share for reasonable prices.

What You Got??

Thanks for reviveing this question.
I also would like to kind of see what is out there and also if you might part with it.
I guess a person could put an astric (*) behind any part that might be available..
sounds like Phil is the man with all the goodies!!!!! I may have to go meet him someday..:)
Hope to see some input...just wondering if there are still enough parts out there so we don't "run out" of parts for our dreams...steve

W stuff

I've been parIng down this past year, recognizing the fact that I might not need all the engine parts I had collected this past ten years or so. I sold off several truck block-based 409 engines and parted with my standard bore QB block and standard bore truck block. I have enough parts left over to make 10 complete engines, half 409s and the other half 348s. Actually four are already built and two are running in cars (does that count?). Two engines are completed and awaiting specific vehicles.

I have one pair of 1962 QB builds with 690 heads and dual quad setups, those need to be built. Then I have 3-4 348s that orignally came with Triple Twos. most everything I have is Stock GM components. No aluminum heads, etc. lots of aluminum intakes.

This collection was specifically assembled to correspond with certain X frame cars I currently own. But now I've got a few things I may not need. Am keeping all the highperf 409 stuff for my projects!

Cheers!

I've got a used oil sending unit for sale..........cheap..........scared the crap out of me today when i had her wrapped up in 2nd and she went red...........good thing for the mechanical backup old style gauge. Checked under the hood for leaks, pulled the dipstick and took off again. I've got some spare 409 stuff that's not for sale right now.:takethat:takethat As in my original motor, tranny, and rear end.............ain't going nowhere.............except the motor...........goes back into a 55 gallon barrel of oil
