    Tripower air cleaners

Are the reproduction breathers from say a Tri Chevy specialist any good or do I need to look for a factory original?

I plan to do that but getting one over here is not so easy. Sometimes we have to make do with the Chinese stuff until we can locate a good factory item!

    Tripower air cleaners

Just an update as I was able to give the car a good run today. It's transformed! I used O' Brien Truckers round cleaners with a cloth inset. Set the car up again and it was noticeable right from the off that it drove a lot better. It wants to just keep pulling in second now and carries on after...

    Tripower air cleaners

I'm a great believer in factory performance parts but on the 32 Ford there is not enough room for a factory cleaner set-up.

Thanks for the guidance. We have a dealer for O Brien over here in the UK and he had some in stock so now ordered.

    Tripower air cleaners

Having got my 32 sedan/348 on the road I realised that despite generally driving fine the performance was not as snappy as I thought it would be. Everything was running fine just a little lacklustre. I have been running the Mr Gasket louvred chrome air cleaners and tried removing them. As many...

Well work progressed at a steady pace and it hit the road this week. First impressions are great, it runs smoothly and rides well. Engine runs really well and is torquey and smooth. Tripower works well though I may set it up to open the secondary carbs a little earlier, it needs a little more...

I know it's not to everyone's taste but the bullet holes are staying! Too much history there to lose them. The chassis and drivetrain are now finished as is the bodywork, will update photos soon. Just waiting for some parts from The States and then the body will go on. We pay a lot for parts...

As requested in my introduction thread here are some pics so far of my sedan build. As I have health issues I am indebted to all of the help given to me by people who I know as true friends. The sedan started as a stocker but is now going 348/TH350/9" rear. The motor is bored/has solid...

    TH350/348 converter clearance.

Thanks guys. The converter came in the car as a good running driver and everything worked perfectly. The whole running combination was taken out and then used for my sedan. The previous owner is a good friend and he had fitted the B&M converter when the package was in his car but never noticed...

    TH350/348 converter clearance.

It's a questioning mind I guess. To be honest it wasn't noticed when it came apart as my brother dismantled it. As I said the converter sits just over an inch into the box and feels fully seated so I'm pretty confident with that. What is niggling at me is the distance from block mounting face to...
