I may be interested in the 4:88’s... let me know if you don’t already have a buyer..La hot rods....The 4:88 gears will be sold ( plan is 3:64's and a richmond 5 speed) and then will be put under my 1964 Biscayne.
Skip fix...Thats what I said when I saw it....it was under a 68 Camaro that was used for drag racing, guy just "assumed" it was a 10 bolt based on the 10 bolts holding the pumpkin in...got the casting numbers from him, looked them up in the Fabcraft book and was on my way with cash in hand....
Spin that puppy!I may be interested in the 4:88’s... let me know if you don’t already have a buyer..

That’s ok.. no hurry, just lining stuff up for my next car... Are you changing the carrier to a 3 series?Rickys61...wont be until at least mid Sept for me to get center section to rebuilder....but they are yours when it gets taken apart...
I have a carrier for one of these buried in the basement somewhere for one of these rear ends.. was thinking about selling it but I don’t know which one it is...probably going to go with a spool..no...it is a 2 series...the 4:88 are using a spacer....fabcraft makes steeper gears to fit the 2 series with out a spacer...
So does that mean anything lower (higher number) goes on the 3 series or is there a 4 series?Phil Reed.....olds/pontiac ha 3 different carriers, series 1, 2, 3
I have a 22096x carrier, which is a 59-63 series 2 safe -t- trac for 2:69-3:31 oem gearing. Fabcraft makes steeper gears to fit the series 2 carrier so you do not need to run a ring gear spacer. And believe me, I'm not this smart....the fabcraft book is!
