ROCK N RACE JULY 8-10 2022! Anything with a W engine as long as it's 1972 or older and no delay boxes! If you're coming please let me know so we have an idea of how many people will be there. Also if any of our Z11 guys are coming let me know and we will be sure and have a good spot for you, they did put up a fence going up the hill and planted grass and it cut down on the dust tremendously. If you know of anyone that may want to put in some sponsor money private message me, hoping to get started on shirts soon and any sponsors will have there name and contact info on the back of the shirt.

I thought they said no delay boxes. Is that the same thing as a 2 step? I don't believe they are the same thing. When you look up delay box for drag racing it is a electronic device that delays the trans brake for a specific time that it is programed, A 2 step does not do that, it holds your revs at a specific RPM & you release the trans brake manually. Correct me if I'm wrong but believe they are different. I use a 2 step & have never been questions when they indicate no delay boxes. Let's get this clarified. If 2 steps are not allowed it will affect the way many of us race. :dunno The only time I was not allowed to use a 2 step was at the Meltdown Drags.

Joel, you are correct. A 2 step is merely a multiple stage rev limiter. You have a normal high limit, and the '2 step' is a 2nd limit that you would set at a lower rpm to control launch rpm's. We use them because of the stick shift trans. There is no way to safely and consistently control the rpm's on the line without one. And for what we spend to build these engines, I am not risking one not having a rev limiter on the line, or hoping to be sort of consistent holding the rpm's with my foot. A delay box, a crossover box are both bracket racing aids. And they announced it today as a new rule change for all classes. We are hoping they allow us to use them again.

Where is the release button, is it in conjunction with the clutch pedal so upon release of the clutch it goes to full RPM? :dunno2
