Yes i know, about like tape weights on inner back of mag wheels. Balanced several of those too.

Finally got the new Goodyear's back on the car yesterday. Did not get a chance to drive it as it started raining as we were finishing up. We love the look though.

I like the 8:00x14 Goodyears better than the B.F. Goodrich tires, they are taller.

Trivial question - but curious. In an Impala in 1962 did the spare tire get installed in the trunk at the factory with the whitewall side down? Based on my experience with Camaro's and Chevelle's I assume the answer to be yes.

I do have the decal , But my spare is not original , And I have the valve facing down , so that the hold down will work.

Spent some time behind the wheel of the 409 on Saturday and took some better shots of the car with the new tires. Great day.

Finally got a chance to teach my son how a clutch works..........if he can get comfortable with this he'll be able to drive anything.
