    Front end rebuild?

Starting to replace ball joints, tie rod ends, coil springs, shocks, wheel bearings, sway bar and bump stops on my front suspension. I have been looking at Moog wherever possible (not set on this), not sure about everything else. Thought about 1" lowering coils (don't want to go much lower with...

It is a factory A/C car. no power steering or power brakes. Guess the Oklahoma heat and straight empty roads dictated the options on this one. Was bought in Enid, Okla and never moved more than 45 miles from there until I brought it to North Carolina. Not sure about putting it back in the Impala...

    '59 Impala HVAC components

62 BillT, Where is Moneta? My son lives in Winchester and I go up there about 3 times a year. I plan on cleaning and inspecting all the components and really evaluate the condition. Once I do I'll post some pix on here somewhere.

Nice, the math does add up. Will this much pressure be harmful short or long term?

It's A/C and heat. Everything with the exception of the extra pulley, interior dash vents and control levers, I need those for use with the vintage air system. Not going to use the under dash unit they have. Want to keep the interior close to factory.

Gotta question for anyone who might know. I just removed all the factory heating and A/C components from my impala. It is all there but needs restored. Is this worth anything? Not putting it back in the car, going with a Vintage Air Sure Fit system. Seems like someone doing a restoration on a...

What does that do? My oil pressure is 65-70 psi. Thought that seemed High but wasn't sure. Is that caused by 1 extra gear? I thought 55-60 was normal.

Thanks guys. I will change the pan and look into the convertor stall speed. Maybe split the difference and look at a 2600. Need to do more research on this and rear gears (not sure on wheel/tire size diameter). Still looking at 4/5 speeds also. No hurry, gotta a few months. Just want to make...

OK, now I'm getting concerned. The heads are 379's. The motor is built and dyno ran. Are you suggesting I should swap out the cam? I have no knowledge on cams, I left that up to him. I trusted that he would do what was best for my wants. It was tuned on a few dyno sessions and this is what it...

Thanks for the comments. I went into this about 8 months ago and was hoping for around 400 hp and 425 torque but that was before I thought about streetability. Anyway, to answer some of your questions here are the basics of the motor. bored .030, align honed, decked, all galleys and lifter bores...

Hey fellas. Been lurking around this sight for awhile gathering info. I just finished my 348 build and had it on the dyno yesterday. A little back story, it's a '59 250 hp series out of my Moms old Impala. It had never been apart and was tired. Thought about the whole 434 stroker w/Edelbrock...
