    63 Biscayne with a 409??

I miss the old Pate swap meet. Nothing like a little cow crap on the bottom of your shoe while looking at rusty gold. Sorry a little off subject just brought back good memories! Back then you could order just about anything. I would not doubt it could be real.

    409/409 spark plugs

What carb are you running? If it is an orig. AFB style I have seen where the vacuum plungers on the needles get worn and won't hold them down at idle and makes the engine run rich only at idle and fine everywhere else. Might have to lighten the springs to make up for the loss of vacuum around...

Stupid question - Oil pump gasket ?

By design, omitting the oil pump-to-block gasket prevents dislodged fragments of gasket material from obstructing the oil system. Wonder why Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Ford never figured that out??

    Carburetor Help

If your running small port heads I would stay with the 600 cfm. Big heads the 700 would be good. The new Demon from Holley is also a good carb too. Comp cams has a nice rocker arm in their Pro Magnum line for the stock stud 409 heads.

Stupid question - Oil pump gasket ?

Skip FIx said: ↑ I always wondered why my Pontiacs need that thin paper gasket on a machined surface when Chevies don't. They had to justify the additional cost of a Pontiac somehow. That is funny!
