    Header Exit 61, Look at the pics Ronnie kindly posted for me in thread 14. Both sides exit just behind aft lower control arm mount and turn out, just like stock exhaust. Tim

    62 409 Clutch Issues

    John, Had the same problem on my 62. Removed rubber stop on pedal bracket, then readjusted clutch.It is actually in the instructions. "13. On some models of cars, it may be necessary to remove rubber pedal stops under the dash to have sufficient pedal throw." Hope that helps. Tim

    Leaking stud boss Hello, I had the same problem on my heads and no amount or brand of thread sealer worked. I finally took some .190 brass rod, cut 2 pieces for each stud boss and pressed them in with Loctite 577 with the heads assembled on the car, no more leaks. I think when I do another...

    62 Belair Fred, Thanks for the compliment. Of all the headers I have put on over 30 years, these by far and away fit the best and the finish is perfect. I hated to put them on, they looked great hanging from the garage. If it wasn't for this site and some special carb help from 409Z28 (Mike)...

    oil gallie plugs

    They are 5/16 on the side. Drill and tap them to 1/8 NPT. I had 2 blow out priming the oil pump on the engine stand. Large oil leak. Did the lower front one and the front plugs under the timing coveralso.

    Plating Carbs Try Caswell Plating. I used a kit from them on my carbs and they look new. A larger power supply is required for the bodies. If I can figure out how to shrink the pics I will post them. Tim
