63 impala project taking way.

Well guys, as the title states, finally getting around to go through the mystery 409 in my impala this winter. Should be interesting. Will be doing some updates as well as improvements along the way. Will do my best to post updates as much as possible as well as pictures

I like my Quick Performance. I had it narrowed an inch on each side for running slicks.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments! Dad and I pulled the heads in the oil pan off of our mystery 409 tonight to inspect it. What we found was a rebuilt short block with Ross Pistons free stock bore 409, as well as the 690 heads. Factory crank Factory connecting rods with floating pins. Did find a couple scratches in some cylinders so we will be buying new pistons for it through rob walden. Camshaft is undecided as of yet still but it will be a solid roller and the car will definitely be rowdy. Should be fun I'm getting excited!

I personally want to see flames blasting out of my fenderwell headers with my wheels a foot off the ground! I can't get the "Cartoons" and "Ratfink" cartoons out of my head from being a kid. Crazy flames and smoking tires. I have been drawing them since I was able to hold a pencil. Now I have the cars and working on building that motor!
