Hey Dennis keep the picture's coming when your car is tore up and apart. We like picture's!!!!:crazy :D
This is the new version of a Z-11 "lightweight"

All gaps and body measurements and adjustments were done with the doors, fenders and deck on the body. Body was braced as you see before panel removal. This puppy is gonna be new and totally rust free.

What a project this has turned into!!!

Spot welds cut out today. Interior panels DA'ed and to be epoxy'ed before replacement panels put on. There is some green primer that looks very similar to aircraft primer on the interior panels. Where this primer was applied, there is no to little oxidation. (that's rust ,Phil). Was this green primer used on all GM cars of this era??

Scary to see what's really under the paint!!!

Lots of metal fab to be done!!20170421_144914.jpg20170421_144748.jpg20170421_144712.jpg20170421_144651.jpg20170421_144642.jpg20170421_144949.jpg

Holy smoke Denis, you are getting real serious. I know my panel work has been reasonably extensive, but thankfully nothing to this degree.

Yeah, this was not expected and never in the original plan. I'm neck deep in it now, however!.......Really sucks

When ever I see these car's in this form, I often think what it would have been like working in those factories where you really liked the car and got to be a part of building them. It would have not seemed like work to me ,but a lot of enjoyment???
