We went to our first race with the Mack this weekend. The truck made the trip without any problems but we still have a few things to finish up before it's totally done.

The original plan was to use wooden planks for the box floor but we went with aluminum checker plate instead because it was faster and easier.
With this truck the kingpin is mounted in the box and the 5th wheel is mounted to the trailer. The kingpin is up in this picture but it can sink into the floor when it's not in use.

By the way, the conditions were perfect for racing. We ran a best ever 10.26 @ 127mph.
