Don " the snake" Prudhomme with the Greer-Black-Prudhomme fuel dragster . This car had a win/loss round record of ( I believe in a 3 year span) from 63-65, of 243 wins to only 7 lost.
Yes they did look good back then, all race cars looked good back in the day. Top Fuel, Gassers, Super Stock FX and so on, I think we are just showing our age Lol! I think what looked good about them is they all looked different with everyones personal touches (Yankee Ingenuity) to the cars. Today one Top Fuel car looks like all the rest same for Funny Cars and Pro Stock the only difference is the paint job, Cookie Cutter race cars. The top fuel or dragsters of that era were built with aerodynamics second to style. And they looked great! Doesn't these ones look slick.
Yup!......Would that Buick be a 60?
That's how you start a relationship out on the right footTook Mary on our first date in my 60 Buick 4 door HT. $125 car. Went to flat track motorcycle races. Was going on my bike but blew a head gasket that afternoon.
Nice banged up Nomad tow rig.
It sure looks like him but it can't be.....that dragster doesn't have a Nailhead!
