The parts car....... I'm not sure yet, she might be a solid builder although she needs a lot of TLC...... I have the back window & trim in a few days.

:D Oh, I have forgotten something. Could it be possible that you need some
help sorting the parts? :D

Poor Dave, looks like you will need to clean the carpet. I thought your original 61 was in great shape, that is better than it, at least from here.

I bet you smiled all the way home.

Did you get the 3X2 valve covers for the FH?

No, the valve covers that are on the engine were what were on it when he bought it 25 years ago.......
........... but you never know because he used the carbs off of the FH on a '60 Impala that he has ..... the car is done to the nines. That may well be the where the FH valve covers are. We looked at the car but I didn't pay much attention to detail as we were in a hurry to get everything loaded. He gave me another tripower intake & original carbs that are dated 1960....... Brian Thompson has an original set of tripower valve covers. I see if Brian will send me some good pictures of them...... I have a brand new NOS set for a truck and maybe I can make them look the same with a little welding.

Dave,
Can you get a good pic of the balancer? I have never been sure which balancer they used on the 61 solid lifter engines.
Looks like your original maroon wheels might be on the parts car.:cheers

Cecil..... I'll get a good picture of the balancer for you.

The tires on the black car were a miss match and wouldn't hold air...... we used a couple of the maroon wheels for now.
