I would say the closest commerical airport would be Baltimore or Washington. Whatever, just be there!!

wish you would come, wish you could bring the car but that is a long ways. lots of things to see especially if you are a history buff, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Washington, Appomattox, Va civil war stuff etc

BWI. (Baltimore) or IAD (Dulles) are two closest airports. Probably BWI would be more convent for you as SouthWest uses BWI as a hub.
