Could not be happier ! Hood back on and first drive went great ! Still need to come up with an air cleaner system...space is tight but I'll come up with something. Got a couple rattles to shake out but it ran great, didn't even come close to getting hot and she runs strong for just a little over 500 horse.
Sounds like fun. I bet you hated to come back home and park it.

Thanks Dan ! Had to go back out ! I put 32 miles on just driving nowhere. Gonna let it cool off and go over everything.I bet it does! Must be very satisfying to have it finally road worthy. Great job

Well this is what I have for now. I'm pretty sure I hate it but it will have to do until I can fab something for an oval filter. It looks like there are 2 hearts on my engine.
I think your a little too hard on yourself......it looks very good Kevin.......you do nice work.I believe that's a better look than a large diagonal filter assembly.....JMO.......chrome would've killed the look you tried so hard to hit......I say you nailed it.

From the air cleaners down I am very happy with but I just don't know about the air cleaners. Maybe they'll grow on me. Thank you !

Don't laugh Dan ! It's not funny ( but true ) ! LOL
Keep a close eye on the foam material in those. It tends to break down and actually enter the engine. You shouldn't have an issue with them if you change them once a year or so. They may even last a couple years.....I'm not sure, but I do know that they will start to deteriorate.

I'm not sure but to my surprise there are quite a few people that like it. I'm still not sold on them but it is what it is for a little while ! I'm ready to drive not wrench !
