New ride

Up until the first race last year at Norwalk I hadn’t made a quarter mile pass in my new ride! Car ran real good and handled well going down the track but when it came to the shutdown area it made some goofy moves! Then on to Cedar Falls and their shutdown area had some funky grooves in the track and It was a little worse! So I decided that I couldn’t let either my son or daughter make 1/4 mile runs in the car or sell the car the way that it was so i ordered an S&W frame kit for it! Didn’t get started on it until the first week of Feb. It’s been a little more work than I had planned but it’s starting to come together!

Got started on the floors yesterday and got the drivers side roughed in! Thought I was gonna do it with one piece but that’s not happening! To many angles! 4 pieces did the trick on the drivers side and will be the same on passenger side. After rough in I’ll finish weld em, primer, paint, and weld em in!

The car had a problem in the front end that I didn’t want to deal with any more! Truth be known Brian it was a good excuse to spend more money and take a little weight off the front end! It’ll also be a little easier to work on!! I’ll get back to you on the weight difference hopefully before the first race at Thompson or whatever it’s called now!
