Just came across a 1964 SS last night that has 27,000 miles on it with a 283 and 3 on the tree. So strange seeing such a trim package with such a tiny motor and 3 speed. Has bucket seats and delete center column. Neat stuff.
Don't think console was deleted from factory. I saw a three speed 64 with console ,but the place where shifter came out it was just no opening. There was the compartment further to front on console like any Auto or 4 speed console. I could be wrong but that is what I saw on that 64.Just came across a 1964 SS last night that has 27,000 miles on it with a 283 and 3 on the tree. Yep, I mean the shifter hole is not there. The center console is present just no shifter down there. Neat car at Karl's Kustoms last night.Don't think console was deleted from factory.
