Steve , It is at my place. I bought it from a friend who didn't know where to begin , so I bought it from him and his collection of N.O.S parts came with it, Every body molding on the car is in it's Gm wrapper and assorted other things to much to list here. I just had the 348 engine done by my machinist. It is now at .60 over .According to don Jacks it is now at 360 CI. it is now on the engine stand waiting for my son yo come down from OHIO for a full week of assembly and " Some serious BENCH RACING " This machinist is the one who also did "JOINT VENTURE " engine pictured in my Avatar. Been trying to make a panel for the passenger behind B pillar to wheel arch.
Will have to keep at it not going as nice as i wanted but i recon another 6-10 chunks of scrap metal and i will have it LOL

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have a clean firewall picture so i can determine what holes are to stay in my firewall and what ones have been drilled in its past life?

Not sure if 62 would have been the same or not

This is an AC car and i think i have all the holes for that sorted.

The Assembly Manual has a page that shows all the firewall holes.

I have a paper template of my 62 firewall from the gas pedal hole to the right over to the hood hinge mount.
I can make a copy and mail it folded in a large envelope.
it was traced from my original firewall. Includes 4 speed backup hole and factory Tach hole and the hole for power seats, power windows and power top wire connection.

The original tanks were zinc plated with black mounting straps

Started to shape rear fender arch patch panel

Form up replacement part (2nd attempt) Lol

Cut out the original rusty piece

Test fit before cutting out rusty panel underneath

Well got a bit of progress done
The other side of the car rear quarter has had a punt in the past. 4.5 LB of lead in there
Heap of holes drilled to pull panel i believe

Took out inner fender or rear half of it to get at panel

Had to cut rusty wheel arch off any how so it made it easier to cut out inner wheel house


Getting it tapped out slowly. Not sure what i am going to do with the top edge

Moved back to passenger side and welded in the inner edge to replace the rust
Then tacked on the arch edge

then the front edge and the panel between B pillar and arch
All tacked on

Welded up apart from the line on top of the panel behind B pillar
Will get that thursday night then start tapping it all back to shape after the heat of the welding
