I recommend that everyone visit Haiti. I have been in and out of Haiti many times. I can tell you that it is a real S**thole and deserves the title The people have no hope of even having hope. It is a rotten place lead by even more rotten leaders. Any monies, labor, charities given to the country is syphoned off and only a miniscule amount get to where it needs to go. Since "Papa" Doc and his son "Baby" Doc completely destroyed the country, it has never recovered.
Things are so desperate, the forests have been destroyed by the people looking for firewood. One can clearly see the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. This denuding is causing mudslides and landslides. With frequent storms and hurricanes, the country is in pathetic shape.
