The 250 and 300 hp had the steel covers. BTW, the one pictured is from late 63 and later.No,Ray,it didn't.The Corvette those years had aluminum covers,stock.The 62-66 passenger cars had the stamped steel covers as shown,and were side specific.
I know the 62 300 horse had the steel valve covers also. My 62 Vette has them, its a 300Don, I think low HP 63's, the 250hp, and not sure about the 300, had the same stamped steel covers as the full size had.
