Ok, it looks like 1 is a 3 speed and the 2nd one the lever plate is off. I saw a lever plate in a box somewhere. The Car has a 4 speed in it from what I remember. I'll have to crawl under it ans see. These might have been failed experiments of my Dad's.The first one is the early Saginaw that doesn't have a synchro first gear. Not much good in my opinion other then saving the front bearing retainer.
The second one you need to roll it over so we can see the other side to know if it's a 3 speed (would have two shift levers) or a 4 speed (if it has three shift levers).
The pics of the trans installed in the car is a T-10 4 speed with aluminum side plate and tailhousing can't tell for sure on the main case but looks like it may be alloy too so maybe Super T-10?Ok, it looks like it's a 3 Speed and not a 4.View attachment 129440View attachment 129441View attachment 129442View attachment 129444
Which side does the dipstick come out of?You need to get the casting number to verify it's a 409 not a 348
