yes they can be reanodized - you need find a good company to do the work.
They also can be cleared, not sure what is used to clear the trim ( it will dull over time without protection
I have a local guy that does stainless and aluminum but no local anodizer. He mentioned a clear coat I can find out what he would use. He does show quality work on all kinds of trim.

Thank you Paul. I am going to experiment with a couple different clears. I will search locally for anodizing too.

Isn't there a product call Zoops or something like that for coating polished aluminum trim?

I've been making some progress.
Silk smooth black paint makes you a brave brave man. :hide Just makes me think of how far away from a business you will park to stay away from everyone. LOL! We all need to get our steps in anyway. If you park sideways out by the street and take up 3 spaces. Be sure to set out a poster board to make it look like a car show. Then no one will question why you have it chained off to keep people away from it. :D
