My plan is to finish assembling the frame and make a rolling chassis. I will then install the engine and transmission so I can measure for a drive shaft. I will then install the body on the frame.

It's a little hard to see, but I need to remove this cut body mount bolt above the rear passenger wheel. (meant to do this earlier)
The bolt and nut inside spin. Do I need to cut open the trunk above this bolt to remove? Any suggestions?

I would cut a square area around bolt staying on bottom flat area only, not cutting on vertical side of brace.Weld the new nut centered on top of plate you removed and welding the square area back in and smooth weld and repaint. To me this would be easier on the bottom than going in trunk.

They just did the same thing to my convertible at the restoration shop.He cut a square out of the top and welded the cage nut.Then welded the square back in.He said it went quick.When I met with them Thursday and looked at the repair I couldn’t tell they had done anything in that area.

I appreciate the advice. I'm going to tackle this today.
Also, I am in need of small block frame engine mounts. Are the reproduction ones available on-line as good as original ones?
