Been thinking about adding these shaft rockers to my engine while its appart.

I know I’ve seen where that set up is very expensive..... I don’t know comparison wise, cost..... but Harland sharp also has shaft mount rockers for the 409 that were recently posted

What lifters have people been using? I have bullet racing made by Morrel but I'm thinking I should buy new ones just in case.

Theifters might be okay other than they were broke in to the other block.

I would inspect them real close, then make my decision from there.
These are roller corect, can't remember if was solid or not.

Yes they are hydraulic roller lifters. I didnt see any scratches in them. The rollers all seem fine.

I hope so. $400 for new ones.
Paying the last $500 of $2046 to Percision engine Rebuilders for the machine work lol.
Bore, honed, line bore, decked, crank rebalance for new pistons and polished, cam berings and freeze plugs installed.

If there was never any trash in the oil, you may be okay on not taking them apart and cleaning them.

Does timing chain cover pieces, distributor gear pieces and what ever from break in count as trash?

I might have to find a special set of tips for my snap ring plyers to get them apart or make some tips.

I picked my block up from Precision Engine Rebuilders in Plainfield IL today. I was talking to Randy the owner and he said sense I did not run the engine with the crap from the past problems I had he said I probably wouldn't have to worry about my lifters. If it was him he said he would change them though lol.

You can only see this when all mocked up and turning the engine over you will see the push rods hit the opening need to do all eight one at a time!

The lifters seem fine. A little wear on the sides. They only have 1900 miles on them.

Brian was saying the holes in the head that the pushrods pass through may need to be modified so the push rods do not rub there.
That statement was about the T&D rockers.
