I'm old and untrainable!!!!!

HAHA, love it!!! Dug in, hahahaha...

So while I thought about how to convince the "untrainable", i decided to clean some of that nasty wiring that came about with all the new connections. The battery has 2x fan, 2x compressors, 1 ignition, fp, and finally the ECU... I did some research on post adaptors and found two i liked but side by side, i didnt want to see any "ring" connections and went with the block style...

While I was at it I added a 20 amp fuse for that FP relay and in the same location as the two for the compressors.

I have a cover for the battery and will paint it black, dont want anything shiny :>)....

Tomorrow I'll head north on the wiring, cleaning and rechecking along the way till i hit the fuse box again....

So you ever wake in the middle of the night with a terrible thought, like right in a cold sweat kind?

2am, "wow, what if something got under the valve cover when you were slinging in that thing"..

So I sat thinking, snow on the ground so you cant drive, check to be sure...

And guess what I found???????

Oil. Ha! Oh well, better safe than sorry and put a bit of oil on the right spots and had that moment you have looking over something cool...almost teary eyed.. had that

I guess jeannes right, I am a headcase...

With that out of the way, need some help with the throttle linkage...If I connected what 8 have now, it would lift first and not go straight back. Anyone have a pic of a better way of linking the pedal?

On the linkage, I would tie the two throttle body's together, then bend a linkage rod from the rear throttle body to the peddle lever. Kinda like a dog leg, is you get my drift.
You may be able to tie the throttle body's together at one of the other holes in the levers, then go from the upper hole on the rear lever to the peddle lever.

If you could flip the lever attached to the peddle, it would be a big help.

Oh wow, that blew my mind! You mean flip.this arm? That might be great because the bend would be pulling not pushing..

Great idea!.. Have some chores in the am but should be able to fiddle in the afternoon.. thanks again, great idea..

Might want to relocate that braided line to make sure of full throttle movement. Had a similar thing in the 60 that it would move in there some times and stop full throttle

Hi!

Some good news right off the bat, Zack from GPheaders called and we should see the set shipping this week! I asked him for some build pics to post and also for the spec he ends up with for the flanges. For some reason the large port flanges from show-cars had the outside runners a bit low and the inner two high causing ridges. I have Bobs spec on 11x14 if anyone needs it or theres a place to post, and that marches up perfect to the eddie gaskets....

Linkage.. I threw together a couple possibilities with a coat hanger and thanks to 55brodie, I dug through the parts bin and can bend up something permanent.

Based on this application, which one do you like best or should be tweaked?
