That looks like a nice to to work with.
Your 63 is one I’m looking forward to seeing finished. BT
Would you mind if I share this on my 409 FB page? I love it!!Been too long since I made an update on this thing. Put about 2500 miles on it so far. Got it to run a 13.34 @ 105 mph in Julesburg, 3000’ elevation. Drove it there and back 550 miles round trip. Car weighs 3900# with me in it. 2.54 first gear, and a 3.70 rear. Not enough gear to holeshot, especially with sticky tires. Burning the clutch to save the stock chevy rear. It and the trans will get upgraded this winter. I wanna let this thing eat!!!
Sorry for the grainy cell phone pics
My pal Travis taking it for a ride.
Launching like Grandma.
Her is a 63 that I built and sponsored for a friend in the mid-80s. It also was a bracket car. 409 -340 -2 Barrell-PG with a 12 bolt. Never broke anything in the 3 years running. 12:70 104.Kevin, the 61 looks great!! Ronnie was always partial to the 61 cars. I’m going to post a picture soon of his 61 and 63 builds. Your 63 is one I’m looking forward to seeing finished. BT

Some pictures and video shows unavailable! Is it my end or something else.
Just found and read the thread, the 61 is spot on, great body style, love the interior, sits great, wheel tyre combo, everything is spot on.
Thats nice, I see you put a Mark Williams main cap on the ring gear side. I got the same rear in my Nova and have another one sitting in my garage for my 62 SS, old school kool!!!! I like that jig you made, that makes placing those housing brackets simple job.

Keith the olds/pont. 9.3 is probably one of the strongest rears you could use, the dana 60 I believe is a little stronger but not much. The problem with the 9.3 is parts anymore (thank God for Fabcraft Metals), I decided to use one in my Nova as I am trying to stay as period correct as possible. Back in 1970 I put one in my 62 at the time after breaking MANY Chevy rears and it was the last rear end I ever put in that car. Gotta love those 9.3 rears!!
