I don't believe I would have swiss cheesed those lower control arms. The weight loss might not be worth the loss of strength especially if the front end came down hard.
Sharp eye on the 210 belt line molding . . . . not many people catch that! That orange paint also had a ton o' flake in it which never show'ed very well in photos. It was a cool car with a great actual C/Gas race history in & around St. Louis. It was the quintessential Gasser with Magnesium wheels, big Olds rear, transverse front leaf spring, engine setback and lots of Kellison fiberglass body parts.
