I got a 63 impala 283 3-speed column shift. I 'm going to be installing a 409 with a T-10. I already have a proper steering column for a floor shift manual. After I get the trans , my question is and I'm assuming the Saginaw and Borg-Warner are different sizes. Will the current driveshaft still...

    63 Impala Build Now

I appreciate the kind replies . I have no idea how this poor car ended up with El Camino hubcaps . They are not that good looking. I have a clean set of poverty caps that will be replacing them.

While reading posts on this great forum this evening I just decided I'm going to name and letter the fender on my 63 "White Lady II" in honor of my dad's 62 "White Lady" 409. Hopefully I find or recreate that car one day.

Hi I was reading an old thread on this form about racing in New York and a current or former member TONY0707 was discussing racing his 63 409 in this area in the 60's. He mentioned that people would come up with names of their cars and paint them on their front fenders. He listed off a few that...

    New York Hangouts

Yeah I apologize for not being so precise. My father lived in Long Island. Raced at WESTHAMPTON all the time. In 2 years of racing on the street he said he was beaten only once by a 63 lightweight Dodge. He referred to it as a taxi cab.
