I have been unable to locate either the AC Delco paint or the OER paint code K54198, OER tells me the paint has been on backorder for a very long time. Any ideas for another suitable for my 63 Impala trunk?

Yes, I have searched Amazon and Ebay. Also talked with a past President of the National Impala Association. There are other Grey and White paints available and I may have to use one of those. Just thought I try looking for the AC Delco one first.

Thanks to all of you for your replies. Sometime ago I ordered the engine and transmission mounts from Summit. The catalog did not specify a difference between Small block and 409 block. I assumed that they were the same. My mistake.

That's what I thought. Do you have a idea how much higher?

I just now realized that small block motor mounts may not be the same as the mounts for the 409 engine. If they are different, do the 409 mounts cause the engine sit higher or lower? How about the transmission mount. Is there a difference there?

I am going to buy a new battery for my 62 impala 409. My question is what is the correct battery for the car. I believe it is a Yellow top Delco. Also any leads on where I can purchase one.

I can use some advice on this. I have a new set of Showcars 409 Valve covers with drippers. My engine has Edelbrock Aluminum heads along with the rocker arms and locknuts. I did have a a set of 348 covers without drippers and they cleared just fine. My new covers do not clear. This is no...

Thanks Paul for the information. The weld on my trim looks good. I can see that trying to remove it for whatever reason could be a problem.

Could one of you show a picture of the pinch weld on a convertible 62. I have looked at my car and cannot see any problem.
