Your Belair should have dash trim that goes under that piece like this: Therefore it has a cut out like this: The Biscayne doesn’t have that cut out.

Yes, I mounted the Tach housing using 3 screws like the factory. After I had the hole cut and the housing resting where I wanted, I drilled the holes. I carefully drilled the holes at angles that would allow the heads of the screws to rest nicely in the holes of the Tach housing.

The Sun Super Tach 2 slid into the factory style Tach housing pretty well. It is larger, so I used longer screws and washers to clamp it into place. I purchase the housing, rubber seal, and paper template for the cutout from Show Cars. After cutting the hole base on the template, I slowly...

I also got the 9” assembled, so hopefully I can go through the rear suspension and get it thrown in this winter. Our midget arrived a few weeks back, so I haven’t made it out to the garages as much.

Yea, I used everything from show cars. (The tunnel extension, gasket, sheetmetal screws, and their template.) I didn’t realize that the extension should be left black. Oh well. The sheetmetal screws do poke through on the bottom.

Finally got this thing fired up. Now to change the oil and hope everything broke-in correctly.....

The block is a 3782870. I’m running the Hooker Super Comps 1 3/4”. They are a tight fit, I had to do some dimpling prior to sending them out for Jet-Hot coating.

I got the Sun Tach and steering column installed in the car finally. Some of the 9” pieces have also arrived, so I’m excited about that.
