I am trying to decide if I should change the main bearings when I get my block back. I have the Clevit MB3993H main bearings with the groove. Summit has the same ones I think. I got mine from Show Cars the first time. The rod bearings look really nice.
I am also waiting for a new used 348 to get here from Redford Michigan. I got it on Ebay for $409 plus $340 shipping. Should be here any minute.

I’m definitely no expert here but do you need to round off the edges so as not to create a stress riser which could cause more of a crack

The boring bar and hone will smooth out a lot of that,but soothing it out is a great idea in order to prevent piston scuffing.
