Thanks for the help guys!!! Just ordered 2x sets of spacers that can bring me out to 1/2inch, (1/6th thru 1'8ths) and will post how we do. If not, love the idea of the waterpump spacers, can do a combo if needed...
Have another challenge, how to use 2 thermo sending units and making it clean. I called FAST and they said I have to use a sending unit for the ECU to be happy which is in the intake and ready to go. They said not to "T" or split off their line, voltage issue to your common dash lights. So, I need to find a clean way of adding the second temp sending unit.
We have a new one and it measures .82 at the threads but for the life of me cant find a water neck thats straight with a tapped hole to fit. I do see fords out there and lots of necks doing a 15* to the right, but will hit our oil fill tube...
Anyone know of a spacer that would work so I can bring the sending unit back to the firewall and not sticking out the front of the manifold?
Heres a few pics of the issue...
First pic, i can use a port on the front of the manifold, but will look "wonkey".
Second pic, a spacer with 5/8ths sending unit hole. Is there another sending unit I can use thats 5/8ths and will work for my stock dash?
3rd pic - Ford style - Would be perfect if I could find a chevy one....
4th pic - Lots of chevy ones with wrong angle...
