Went back together easy.....will come out 1 more time (I hope) when it gets taken apart to finish welding chassis spots I could not get to and then paint the frame!
I now have my driveshaft measurements....will get it ordered tomorrow!

Driveshaft is in......
On the bottom of the driveshaft up towards transmission I have a chassis tube that runs under.....I have 1/2” clearance.....for the shaft to strike the tube the rear end would need to drop away from the frame.

I am thinking I need to put a small loop for more clearance.....suggestions on how much room to have between the driveshaft and this tube?

Tgsnks

Do y’all think this one tube is overkill?
Thinking about removing it completely.

I would remove it, you will be banging on it constantly and it really doesn't serve any useful purpose IMO. Going underneath with a loop would only decrease ground clearance.

Hello again.......
Been busy here and am finally looking at the coupe again.....
Since moving back to the farm I have distanced myself from most if not all my help.....I have reluctantly decided to do the floors myself.
I bought an Eastwood bead roller......Dewalt metal cutter and a new spot weld hole cutter and a stack of 18ga material.....
I figure that if it looks funky when I’m done I will just get carpet on it before anyone sees it.

Took it upon myself to cut shit out and weld stuff in.....good/bad/whatever.....
Rockers are in on both sides and I cut the crap outta the firewall.....will start building a new one soon.
-Adios!
