I don't think those are factory letters. That is a plastic strip with new letters/wording stamped into it.
- from a Label maker- they probably had the letters on the aluminum wear off.

thanks gents. yeah i was starting to wonder that since it didn't look like the rest of the script on the bezel.Dymo tape.
No mate it's not correct. Should be all alloy. Kinda piss me off a bit, but when at this end of the world it will do for now. Have had it fully rebuilt. Is that cast iron case T-10 correct for your car?
Yeah, nuh, not a 58 sorry. 61 going by date stamps. If it's a 58, I'll trade you an aluminum one. Just throw it in your suitcase when you come over.
HA HA, I know, the craziest things right.Hey Gav you are on the wrong side of the road!!!!
Ok that would be great, I thought it went through the hole to the right of the brake master cyl!Gav,
I thought you might be interested in having a factory tach/sender on the car ?
From looking at your firewall : If so I have the size and location on the firewall for a hole to be drilled for a factory tach and sender wiring harness.
Cheers Dan, Looks like a nice hole is to be drilled. Will wait for template from Paul.
I think there is measurements in the assembly manual as well.Cheers Dan, Looks like a nice hole is to be drilled. Will wait for template from Paul.
Gav
Cheers Paul. That is the location, they do not show the speedometer hole on the drawing but that puts the hole right above the speedometer hole.
I do not agree with the hole size. The tach wiring harness fits better
with a 1/2" diameter hole. Also I drill the holes in my firewalls with a stepped drill bit -they drill
the holes with very smooth edges vs a std drill bit.
